Better than cake
On this cold October day I was going through a ton of pictures from Indietracks that I never got round to getting sorted (and probably wont get the time to do properly any time soon).

I found this picture I took of Douglas from The BMX Bandits and it reminded me how much I enjoyed their concert.
They’ve got soooooo many brilliant songs and the band sounded so tight you’d get the feeling they could play blindfolded - not that I'm implying it sounded automated in any way - they were just really in tune with each other.

At the time The BMX Bandits played (I think it was Sunday afternoon) the weather was really cold and grey. I missed the first couple of songs but as I arrived in the middle of their cover of “Do You Really Love Me” it instantly warmed my wet miserably hung over body.
The BMX Bandits sound like a big warm, friendly smile - with occasional nicotine stains and a few chipped teeth.
If October is getting you down with grey skies and rain I'd advice a pop therapy treatment - check out this video of one of my favorite BMX Bandits songs “I Wanna Fall in Love”. It's even better than cake!
I also managed to find this video from the gig at indietracks - brilliant stuff!

Ha ha! Yup, that's me. :-) Actually, I think the apple is some kind of signature gimmick. Yes, he really is that extravagant!
Btw. love that Duglas brought an apple out on stage - as i recall, he ate it later on. Guess it's always good with a snack, even if you're playing a concert.
